TIPS FOR BEING COMFORTABLE
CLOTHING
Choosing the right clothing is important whilst biking. If you are riding in the summer heat, wear loose fitting clothes which will allow air to pass through and light colours which will reflect sunlight, absorb less heat and keep you cooler.
On cooler days wear long sleeves and pants and thin, full fingered gloves. A wind-proof vest will also help keep you warm at your core.
On any bike ride, take a waterproof jacket, you never know.
Footwear should be closed-toe, comfortable, breathable and ideally moisture wicking. Same goes for socks, moisture wicking is the way to go and higher than the shoe to avoid rubbing.
BIKE SET-UP
You make physical contact with your e-bike in 3 places, your hands, your feet and your rear! Posture is important for comfort, leaning either too far forward or back will have an adverse effect on your comfort level during the ride.
At Lakeside Eco-Sports we set the bike up perfectly for you during the bike delivery orientation to ensure you are set up correctly right from the start.
Physical PREP
It’s not all about the comfort of the ride, post-ride comfort is important too. Your quads, glutes, hamstrings and spine are going to get a good workout, even on an e-bike, so a little warm-up/cool-down makes good sense.
We like the workout in the link below, its quick, easy, and focuses on the areas of the body related to riding a bike.
